ABOUT

An improved Laryngoscope, featuring a blade shaped for improved opening of the lower jaw, and superior displacement of the tongue during intubation. The Serpent Blade also allows the “Jaw Thrust” move to be performed single handedly, from the L-scope handle. Its unique shape avoids damage to the teeth of the lower jaw.

Benefits

Videolaryngoscopy may have a number of benefits including improved view of the larynx (especially in the obese), and decreased rates of difficult laryngoscopy and successful intubation when direct laryngoscopy fails.Videolaryngoscopy is also a helpful tool when managing a predicted difficult airway. In addition to these clinical benefits, videolaryngoscopy has a potential role in training novice intubators. Higher success rates, faster response times, and reduced number of attempts have been reported.4 This provides a benefit for those learning and in addition reduces the complications for patients undergoing anaesthesia.
